Wow! Andreas thank you for your very thoughtful response. It made me think about my comment and practice deeply which I appreciate. I have spent the last ten thinking about it :)

While I believe my original comment was accurate to a degree, it left too many things to potentially be interpreted in the wrong way. I appreciate you pushing me to see that! This is better…

But in gist I’d say, meditation detaches you from reacting to your emotions. You may still have the same wide array emotions (some emotions may become more pronounced, some less), but with a regular meditation practice, how we react to those emotions will be more mindful.

For me, I laugh more than ever. Instead of being in my head, I’m fully present in the moment. And while I still feel anger (and may always), instead of letting that anger fuel my action, I’m often able to calmly determine a thoughtful response (including no response) to the situation.
