While I enjoyed your piece overall and think you brought up various valid points, I don’t agree with this quote or the stuff about fear later in your post. I don’t think either point is implicitly true. For example, I want (or desire) a new couch for my apt. I know I’m enough, I’m generally okay with my current couch, and overall I’m happy, but my current couch isn’t particularly comfortable or ideal for my living room. That simple.

Another example. A mindful mother wants to buy a new hybrid car and get rid of her traditional, internal combustion engine car. While she desires this new car, it is not 100% certain that she has to be unhappy or feel like she isn’t enough because she doesn’t have a hybrid.

Naval is a smart man who I also follow, but sometimes I find he tries to be too philosophical and put these things into too neat of a box.

I am not trying to nitpick, but simply share a perspective for you to consider. Feel free to ignore. Keep up the good work!
