It’s a bad idea for governments to ban Crypto because of the overall economic potential. This is likely why regulators have been slow to move. Billions are already being put into companies building in the ecosystem which is creating jobs and various other opportunities. Additionally, various large funds are getting into the game, which will give pause to regulators about banning Crypto. Lastly, even if a few governments choose to ban Crypto, the ecosystem will just move to more liberal nations causing the US and other nations to miss out on additional economic opportunities (think stem cell and alternative energy).

Crypto long term may not be in the best interest of nations, but the same could be said about global warming and we’ve seen how coordinated global leaders have been on that issue :)
